The short, plain-language rules for shopping with us. Effective October 26, 2026.
Who we are
AltarWell sells hand-poured soy wax candles and related goods through the AltarWell Shopify store. Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify. Questions? Email [email protected]. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Orders and pricing
All prices are in US dollars. We work hard to keep prices and product details accurate, but mistakes happen. If an item is listed at the wrong price or with wrong information, or can't be fulfilled, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
Shipping
We ship within the United States only. Standard shipping is $8, free on orders of $70 or more. Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees.
Returns
Unused items in their original condition can be returned within 30 days of delivery. Full details, including damaged or wrong items, are on our shipping & returns page.
Candle safety
Candles are an open flame. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, drafts and anything flammable, and always follow the warning label. See candle care & safety. You are responsible for using our products safely.
No medical or health claims
Our products are for ritual, ambiance and personal enjoyment. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and we make no promises about results. Moon and scent meanings are traditional associations.
Intellectual property
The AltarWell name, logo, product designs, photos and site content belong to AltarWell. Please don't copy or reuse them without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, AltarWell isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for harm caused by misuse of our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the item involved. Nothing here limits rights you have under law that can't be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes apply to orders placed after the new version is posted here, with an updated effective date.
