Candle care & safety
A few habits keep your candle burning cleanly and evenly, right to the end.

For an even burn
- On the first lighting, let the melted wax reach the edge of the jar (usually 2 to 3 hours). This helps prevent tunnelling.
- Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before every lighting.
- Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time, then let it cool fully before relighting.
- Stop using the candle when about ½ inch of wax remains.
Fire safety
- Never leave a burning candle unattended, and extinguish it before you sleep or leave the room.
- Keep it away from children, pets, drafts, curtains, and anything that can catch fire.
- Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface. The jar gets hot while burning.
- Don't move the candle while it is lit or the wax is liquid.
- If the flame gets too large or smokes, extinguish it, let it cool, trim the wick and relight.
Full safety instructions are printed on the label on the bottom of every jar.
