Evergreen Solstice Candle, Fresh Balsam

$28 $8 standard US shipping, free on orders $70+

The Evergreen Solstice candle is a hand-poured soy wax candle in fresh balsam, with crisp eucalyptus, fir branches and cedarwood, finished with a gold lid.

Evergreens are traditionally associated with the winter solstice, the longest night of the year and the slow return of light. This year the solstice falls on Monday, December 21, 2026. Light this candle at dusk to mark the turn of the season, or any winter evening you want the house to smell like a walk in the woods.

The scent opens with crisp eucalyptus, settles into balsam and fir, and finishes on warm cedarwood.

Scent notes

  • Top: Crisp eucalyptus
  • Heart: Balsam and fir branches
  • Base: Cedarwood

A simple ritual

On the evening of the solstice, turn off the overhead lights and light the candle. Take three slow breaths, write down one thing you are leaving with the old year and one you are carrying into the new one, and sit with the flame for a few minutes.
